Station 5, in the Goochland Courthouse, was established in 1958. It is one of the county’s two fire stations that now house an aerial apparatus. This station has Truck 605, a 1993 Pierce Lance 105′ Aerial Ladder. Station 5’s specialty equipment also includes Attack 605, a 2009 Pierce International 7400 with four-wheel-drive capabilities; the department’s newest Tanker Pumper, a 2020 Kenworth from Pierce; and a boat for water rescue, a 2011 DIB Rescue Sled. Station 5 is currently working on renovations to its building, which will include new offices, a kitchen, day room, meeting room, gym, and individual bunk rooms.

Station 5 is in the Goochland Courthouse near the intersection of Fairground Road and Sandy Hook Road.
