Manakin
Established in 1951, Manakin Station 1 was Goochland County Fire-Rescue’s first fire company. Station 1 now has one of two aerial apparatuses in the county – a 2021 Pierce Velocity 100′ Heavy-Duty Steel Aerial Platform. It also has one of four boats used in the county for water rescue, a 2021 Rock Proof boat. In 2023 the station completed a full building renovation to include new offices, a kitchen, dayroom, gym, meeting room, and individual bunk rooms.
Station 1 is located between Hockett Road and Manakin Road on Patterson Avenue.
