Station 5 — Courthouse

Courthouse

Station 5, in the Goochland Courthouse, was established in 1958. It is one of the county’s two fire stations that now house an aerial apparatus. This station has Truck 605, a 1993 Pierce Lance 105′ Aerial Ladder. Station 5’s specialty equipment also includes Attack 605, a 2009 Pierce International 7400 with four-wheel-drive capabilities; the department’s newest Tanker Pumper, a 2020 Kenworth from Pierce; and a boat for water rescue, a 2011 DIB Rescue Sled. Station 5 completed renovations to its building in 2024, which included new offices, a kitchen, day room, meeting room, gym, and individual bunk rooms.

Station 5 is in the Goochland Courthouse near the intersection of Fairground Road and Sandy Hook Road.
