Last Friday was the first day of regular 24-hour operations at Sandy Hook Fire-Rescue Station 8. Since April 2023 Fire-Rescue has responded an ambulance during day hours (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) to over 700 calls in the Sandy Hook community and other areas of Goochland County. Crews have moved living quarters from the house at 3535 White Hall Road to the house at 2913 Dogtown Road, both part of the 6 acres of property owned by Goochland County.

The site is the home of the future new Sandy Hook Fire-Rescue Station# 8 facility, with construction scheduled to begin in the Fall of the current year. Fire-Rescue appreciates the support from our Citizens and County Government to be able to expand our services and add the first new fire station response district in 60 years.
