Progress continues for the long-awaited Goochland County Fire-Rescue Sandy Hook Fire Station 8. Goochland County recently purchased the property at 3531 Whitehall Road as part of the Sandy Hook Fire Station 8 project and began demolition of the dilapidated building on the property on Monday, August 11th. The purchase of this property along with the property the County already owns at the corner of Whitehall Road and Dogtown Road will allow us to design and build the Sandy Hook Fire Station 8 facility more effectively and efficiently. Work on design and construction documents continues. Check out an early image of the proposed design.
